Hiking area in the Pitztal in Tyrol

Not far from Pitzis Kinderhotel you will find the wonderful hiking area Hochzeiger with 100 km of marked trails. There are hiking trails at every difficulty level or for each type of fitness.

Of course, we also have many hiking and walking trails directly from the hotel in the region, which are easily possible with baby carriages. We would be happy to advise you on our reception!

The hiking and excursion area Hochzeiger lies between 1.450 and 2.450 m above sea level. The gondola lift can be reached comfortably from the valley station (1.450 m) to the Bergstation Zeigerrestaurant (2.000 m) and, if desired, the double chair lift (only in the case nice weather) up to 2,370 m to the Bergstation Sechszeiger. The facilities are, of course, also available for get back to the valley. From the walk to the challenging tour, the repertoire of hikes at the Hochzeiger is enough. The hiking area Hochzeiger carries the Tiroler Bergwegegütesiegel. (A high distinction)

Enjoyable highlights on the mountain

Every year in the middle of August, you can enjoy the "Fest am Berg" at an airy height. It is the summer highlight for the whole family in the hiking area. And in the cattle drive (always in early September), you can watch the cows, horses and sheeps as they return from the summer freshness on the mountain to the valley. In conjunction with the church day in Jerzens, you can experience the Pitztal tradition!
