Have you ever experienced lamas or alpacas so close to you? Thanks to their gentle nature,you quickliy get in love with the the four-legged animals,be it large or small animal lovers. In your summer holiday in Tyrol you can make an acquaintance with our alpacas and lamas, which live next to many other animals on our farm. At the Lamatrekking, a special experience awaits you, which you should not miss in your summer holiday in Tyrol!

Anyone who likes it can go with them at our Lamatrekking. One parent leads a lama together with a child (at least 4 years old).

Lamatrekking for the whole family

Other hikers are already wondering when we walk through the landscape with our lama herd. What many do not know: Lamas come from the South American Andes and are best adapted to difficult terrain conditions. Therefore it is not surprising that the sensitive and friendly animals also feel very well in the Alps. In their homeland, the ungulates have proven themselves as excellent load carriers and can climb heights of up to 5,000 meters. The quadrupeds are not riding animals, but simply trot on a leash beside the humans.

Hiking with lamas: a great experience

If you feel like, you will discover your talent as a lama leader on holiday in Tyrol! Once a week you have the opportunity to participate in the Lamatrekking. After a short introduction to the habits of the extremely gentle, noble animals, we go on a walk and together we walk through the village Wald in the Pitztal / Tyrol.

In Pitzis Kinderhotel live 4 alpacas and 3 lamas, together with a lot of other dear animals. These can be visited at any time in their stables and always look forward to.
